About The Event
Whole 30-But not THAT whole 30!!
How it works:
This 6 week coaching group centers around eating whole and minimally processed foods, to learn new skills, find better health and create a deeper understanding of nutrition along the way. Â Part personal challenge, part book club, part accountability club this group is for anyone looking to reign in their eating habits, those looking to learn more about a holistic approach to nutrtition or just anyone looking to stretch their skills in the kitchen.
The group will begin with a prep week- we will go over all the in's and outs of what to expect and how to be the most succussful throughout the weeks ahead.Â
Each week we will have a Zoom coaching meeting to connect, ask questions and discuss nutrition and wellness topics.
After our month of whole food nutrition, we will have a final follow up to check in with everyone.Â
Zoom sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the group for anyone who is not available at the meeting time, to be able to watch at a later date. Â
The group is housed within the Natural Vibe website, under the "groups" tab and can be accessed via desktop, mobile or the Wix Spaces app. Â Throughout each week I will be sharing recipes, motivation, educational materials, questions and check ins to keep you motivated and to create community!
We will be utilizing The Whole Foods Diet by John Mackey throughout the month for our coaching topics and for our recipes! TWFD is included in your group price. Â I will also provide links to several other great whole food focused cook books that you may want to add into the rotation, as well. Â A recommended reading timeline is included to follow the coaching sessions.
The group follows a recipe calendar that can be used as a loose outline for those looking to explore a variety of recipes or it can be used as a clear program for those looking for more structure.
A food group plate will also be included. Â This plate is designed around the MyPlate.gov national recommendations for health and will help create clarity around both a balanced meal, as well as portion control guidance.
Keep in mind the program is flexible to each person's needs. Â No foods are off limits, however there will be a recommended foods to look out for list, so that the focus stays on whole and nutrient dense foods for the bulk of meals.
While still designed to be a challenge, this group is more about creating sustainable habits and drawing awareness to our current food behaviors. Â The focus is whole, unprocessed or very minimally processed foods and much more about adding good, nutrient dense items to your diet-not cutting out full food groups and restricting, which can create a starve-binge effect. Not meant to be a torturous experience, this program will feel light and fun. Â With learning and doing at the forefront, all the while feeling support from others who are doing the same.
The aim is to feel more healthful, educated and whole food focused to instill habits that last much longer than just 6 weeks.
